Well I tested them in my backyard and both have about the same ROF but the M4 had the accuracy over the MP5, I was able to hit a can with almost everyshot about 40-50 feet away on semi and with the MP5 was about 3/4's that.

you'll need a lot more than that to turn it into a sniper rifle.

Here's a beauty shot of my sniper rifle. It's not done yet, but the basic external look is complete. I'll be replacing the stock, grips, and receiver eventually, but here it is:

M3 scope
hardened receiver in OD
G&P VN short magazine
Sanyo 8.4v large type battery
CA Mk12 mod 0 SPR kit
Element Troy Silencer
QD bipod
Systema Reinforced Gearbox shell
Systema M140 full turn up kit installed
full metal hopup with PDI bucking
KM tightbore, Mk12 length

I also plan to get a crane stock, SPR sniper trigger guard, steel trigger, Guarder OD metal receiver, some sort of new grip, and a crane stock 9.6v large type battery.

not too shabby.

hate to play a run and gun game with that. lol

we generally dont have time to snipe... but we do tend to take some long shots at times.
overall a nice lookin gun.

CA 1 piece outer barrel
Custom made 150mm Suppressor
Rail covers x2

Nc Star carry handle mount
AimPoint

Internals:
SRC Metal Bushings
SRC Shims
I tuned up the gearbox

Enjoy!

could that be due to a poor seal on the piston/cylinder head? I bet you could fix that fps gap with some teflon tape.

Ok so I've been tracking this package for about a week now. Felt like X-mas morning, this morning, because I was so anxious to receive it. So I woke up early, just waiting for the UPS truck to come by. Played some CS, watch some Maury, and Jerry Springer, chilled out side, then I saw TEH UPS TRUCKK!!! I ran at it took the package out of his hands and ran inside. Opened it up and there she was my JG M4A1. Yeah, I love the looks of it, I a silencer too with the JG M4A1. I know you guys mostly have Tm's , C.A's, ICS's, ect... But I just wanted to get started with airsoft, read up and bought this one. Rofl , this kid who annoys me came to my backyard "no one saw" and I shot him in the leg. He started ****** so I let my sister shoot me with it (didn't trust him) and she shot me in my :censored2:, and holy **** OUCH! It was from like 10 ft. away, and my pants were baggy. Last time that will happen.

So any way, here are some PICS:
