Last weekend at an event, I won one of the ECHO 1 614's, the ECHO 1 version of the H&K 416 M4. I think I'm going to keep it as a loaner AEG and my last ditch back up. However, there are a few issues I want to take care of. I've never owned one of these new cheap AEG's and just have a few questions. Keep in mind that due to the cheap nature of this AEG, I don't want to use any high end parts. I just want to stick with LPEG parts (ECHO 1, JG, Dboy, etc.)

1) I just wanted confirmation that ...

Some companies who are carrying JG's products said that ECHO 1 USA is exactly the same as JG.

This is totally incorrect. ECHO1's products have been carefully selected before we ship to US and even the internal parts are different! Plus, we provided local service and warranty in USA.

I jsut recently got a new Echo 1 MP5 PDW...there is nothing wrong with it Iwas just wondering what the little screw on the bottom of the handle is. After a recent match I noticed that the screw was out farther than normal and so I used my finger and screwed it back in towards the motor. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what its purpose is? Thanks.

Their collective response seems to be ABS-based, corner-cut, "Sportline" MPEG versions of their expensive guns.

While some of these sportlined-clones-of-MPEGs are still too pricey for being ABS guns (or too rich for many wallets), others are not - and so this is now allowing many of us to add a "big name" gun to ...

Either way i put in the new battery and its true, it will not fire. How can I mod this battery to get it to work? I mean its just electrical current, there has to be a way to get the battery to work.
Ok i dont know if im right or wrong but here are my cents on the arguement

Echo 1 and JG are pretty much the same, but echo 1 guns do have a lil bit more things to keep it more reliable in the gearbox.

They do include metal bushings and a lighter spring, and another reciever( at least on the stag15 ones)

I dont know if this sets it apart, but echo 1 do have stock classic army gears.

And it is examined before it is sent to retail stores.

One thing is my echo 1 m4 lasted ...

....or flash hider

I have a JG Mp5A4 I'm attempting to add a mock silencer (Madbull Gemtch Blackside) to. For the life of me I can't get that little organge tip on the collar off. I've removed the hex screw from the bottom of the front sight and the pin that goes through the front side and that bugger is stuck on.

I'm going CCW and using vice grips trying to protect the metal as much as possible.

I read somewhere that some manufactures use glue to keep these organge tips on. ...

new HK416 lookalike its bad-ass.its not an exact copy of the real steel rifle but a pre-production design. i guess its easier for them to use a m4 receiver/stock, change the pistol grip and add the ris assembly. the only con to this gun is the battery, either it has to be in the obnoxious box or you have to get a crane stock/battery and rewire the gun for it. i chose to use my velcro battery bag that straps to the stock cos that batt box makes the rifle very front heavy especially if you choose ...

Please, post any feedback if anyone has owned their gun a while, and how many rounds were shot through it. Also, speculation is accepted, although PLEASE differentiate between speculation and experience. Links to upgrade guides are welcomed as well.
I thought I'd share my experience with this AEG. Purchased back in Dec '07.

In 3 months I put around 10K rounds through it. Not 1 misfeed or misfire.

Went to test some black stealth bb's (name unknown) and....zapp! No firing.

I dismantled the gun and the mech (which I had planned to anyway). Here is what I found after 10K rounds which I thought is noteworthy.

1. Extremely minimal wear on the piston which had 1 metal tooth.

2. Plastic Bushing -which I upgraded to metals.

3. ...

www.airsoft1.com--probably the best place for buying clones, since they've got great prices, great customer service (CS), and some nice features, like choice of warranty, and the option to have them handpick your gun so you know it will work. No more lemons!

www.gunnerairsoft.com--Fung gets the clones before anyone else, and has solid prices. Don't let the high shipping prices fool you (about 60-70 on average per gun from HK), you'll be paying close to ...

Heya everyone. I'm quite happy that there is an Echo1 forum...

I have the DMR myself, and the only real "mod" I've done to it is the Systema BS 6.04 inner barrel. I just ordered a few more parts, and they're en route.

I did have a question though... Lately I've been putting (or more accurately, trying to put) the black .20g's by Airsoft Elite and they often misfeed. I didn't seem to have a problem putting .20g Excels through it. Obviously there are quality differences ...

Cyma has a glock aep for the same price that is probably just as good. i dont like glock tho or id get one.

Anyway, I finally ordered a brand new Version 3 Echo 1 M4A1, I'm pumped. I was debating whether or not to get the G36C, or the M4. I was going to get hte G36C because the vast majority of airsofters rifles are a M4/M16 variant. I wanted to be a little different, ...

The CQB barrel definately looks snazzier, but since I'll be playing woodland mostly, I didn't wanna cut it down too short.
